Prayer to Our Lady of Good Counsel

God of heavenly wisdom,

you have given us Mary, Mother of Jesus,
to be our guide and counselor.
Grant that we may always seek
her motherly help in this life and so enjoy
her blessed presence in the life to come.

O Mother of Good Counsel, Patroness of

Holy Family Council of Catholic Women,
intercede for us, that we may be wise,
courageous and loving leaders of the Church.
Help us, dear mother, to know the mind of Jesus,

your son. May the Holy Spirit fill us
with reverence for God’s creation,
and compassion for all God’s children.
May our labors of love on earth enhance

the reign of God; and may God’s gifts of
faith and living hope prepare us
for the fullness of the world to come.

The Holy Family Council of Catholic Women is a faith based ministry of women living their Catholic faith through Catholic speakers, providing service to our community and growing our prayer life together.  Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month. Event News

Some of HFCCW's past events included hosting the very first Human Trafficking Sympossium in January 2018 which brought light to a very important social issue. This was a huge undertaking many years in the making and we were blessed to have such a successful event.

HFCCW headed up the beautiful May Crowning ceremony. After the liturgy, our 2nd grade classes joined us as we recited the Rosary. From there we processed in ceremony around the Parish and placed the floral crowns on our Mary statues. Refreshments and fellowship were provided to all in our Parish Life Center.

The start of the 2018-2019 CCW year brought guests to speak about organizations that help women who are rescued from human trafficking and the prision ministry's families. Our wonderful members opened their hearts to these and other service projects which include collecting donations for The Samaritan Village, prepared and sold luminaries with prayer requests for the Immaculate Conception mass along with praying over these prayer intentions for one year in our Adoration Chapel, helped the organizer with an Advent Retreat at our parish, collected & wrapped Christmas gifts for 37 children of the incarcerated & put together 17 bountiful Christmas baskets for each of these children's care givers, helped provide a young parishioner, who walked to church, a bike, helmet, lock and safety vest, collected items to give to pregnant mothers through JMJ for Valentines Day, baked and sold desserts to send the proceeds to the Saminarians and other projects still in the making.

We are blessed to have such loving members and appreciate all they do. We thank them and we especially thank our Very Reverend Fr. John Giel for his support and love to our growing ministry.
